DigitalHEALTHSENSE has been working with the Satellite Applications Catapult since early 2017.

The Catapult’s mission is “Innovating for a better world, empowered by satellites”. It uses satellite and related technologies to provide connectivity and Earth observation data to enable government agencies and businesses to offer new and better services.

We were commissioned initially to support the development of the Health & Wellbeing ‘Value Stream’. Although there had been some early forays into health initiatives the Catapult didn’t have the strong routes into the NHS and related agencies which we were able to offer.

We helped shape the strategy and proposition development, introducing the Catapult team to NHS opinion leaders and clinicians to test and refine offers; connecting with SMEs bringing innovative solutions that might benefit from a satellite dimension.

Over the past four years we have worked with the Catapult on initiatives as varied as ambulance connectivity, cancer diagnostics, diabetes education, respiratory disease management and the development of healthy new towns. We have helped the Catapult grow an important new business stream and supported a wide range of SMEs along the way – together helping the NHS develop new and powerful models of care.
